About Buckmaster House

Buckmaster House is a beautifully appointed Residential Home set in extensive grounds with wonderful sea views over the English Channel.

Purpose-built as a Residential Home and opened in 1895 by the Buckmaster family , this elegant building has been completely restored and modernised - offering the highest standards of residential provision and complying with all Fire, Health and Safety regulations. It combines the grace of an era past, with all the conveniences of the present.

Our underlying ethos is to ensure that a decision to relocate to our residential accommodation is viewed as a move from home to home. Family, friends and relatives will always be welcome to visit, with the main difference being that you will have our friendly and carefully chosen staff here 24 hours a day to look after you, taking off your shoulders the day-to-day worries of living on your own.

We are a non-profit making organisation administered by a Board of Trustees, and are a Registered Charitable Trust. This enables us to keep our costs down and our standards up, and is your guarantee of a safe, secure and well-run establishment. And as you would expect from a Residential Home with a pedigree as long as ours, our dedication and commitment to maintaining the ideals and standards that were laid down by our founders remains as strong as when the doors were first opened over 100 years ago.
