CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME

Karen’s been hard at work mapping out our Christmas entertainment programme for this year with some exciting new ideas.

Karen’s innovative plans for residents’ entertainment have been a huge success and some of the events have included:

• A Garden Party held in July with scones, strawberries and cream proved very successful with the ‘Friends of Dickens Week’ joining us on the day. Despite the weather it was a most enjoyable afternoon.

• Another new venture was held in  September when ‘Countrywide Falconry came and gave us a  fascinating talk and demonstrationwith audience participation! This was a huge success with residents and staff seeing these magnificent birds first hand.

• In October, we held a Fashion Show by courtesy of the Edinburgh Wool Shop at Wyevale with some of Karen’s friends kindly acting as models. This picture shows Jane Miles showing some of the latest fashions.
